This Sporting Life

At Kent College we make no apology for the time and effort we put into our sporting activities. We continue to believe that sharing in the triumphs – and setbacks – of sports teams helps our children to develop a spirit of support and co-operation, and to begin to understand that we are all dependent one on another.

We are fortunate to have not only our own beautiful grounds in which our teams can play, but access to all the facilities at our Senior School, including its invaluable all-weather pitch. We have our own full-time P.E. staff, as well as enjoying regular visits from P.E. professionals from the Senior School. Many of our pupils go on to win sports scholarships at our Senior School.

So it is not surprising that our pupils make formidable competitors in all the sports in which we participate and that we have a record of success at District and County level. However at Kent College we do not see sport as an activity just for the superstars. The Sports Department’s philosophy is that sport is for the enjoyment of everyone, and opportunities abound for participation at a more relaxed level.
