Kent College Choristers are BBC Finalists!

Kent College Choristers have won a place in the Category Final of the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year Competition.  This will take place at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on the 8/9 November.  There are six Children's Choirs in the Final and we will be competing for the title 'BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year' and a place in the Grand Final against the other category finalists in the Royal Festival Hall in December, which will be broadcast live on BBC4.

The competition began last November when we had to submit a recording to the BBC.  We were then selected to take part in the South East Rigional Final in March at the Anvil, Basingstoke, where we were declared 'Choir of the Day'.  This month a recording of our performance was judged against the winners of the other Regional Finals and following this, the Choristers were thrilled to discover that they were Category Finalists.

 Kent College Girls win National Plate!

Kent College Under 16 girls won the National Plate competition beating Repton School in the final at Nottingham. Kent College always looked the stronger team but fell behind to a disputed penalty flick in the first half. They equalized before half time and then blew Repton away in the second half, to win 6-1.

England Hockey  

Congratulations to Grace who will be representing England Hockey U16s in the European Championships in July. We wish her and the team good luck!

Kent County Show July 11 - July 13

After a year of much hard work and training the Kent College Young Farmers Club will be showing off their skills in Animal Handling and knowledge at the Kent County Show from July 11 to July 13.
