Junior Department

Entry into the Junior years opens up an even wider range of opportunities for our children.

The form tutor continues to welcome each child in the morning, closely monitors their overall development and takes pastoral responsibility for their welfare. Our small classes ensure there is time for each pupil to receive individual attention and help.

A broad yet balanced curriculum enables each child to enjoy their lessons and make excellent progress in the core subjects of Maths, English and Science, and the School achieves outstanding academic results.

A sound grasp of the basics is vital for laying the foundations for future academic progress, but the breadth of our curriculum offers pupils the chance to develop into caring, creative and high-achieving young people.

In Years Five and Six all subjects are taught by subject specialists so that our children learn to work in a way which prepares them for the exciting new challenges of Senior School life.
