A welcome from the Head Master
The choice of school for our children is one of the most significant decisions which, as parents, we have to make. It is important to visit the school, talk to the Head, see the pupils and teachers at work and get a real feel of the school's quality and style. I shall be very happy to welcome you and your child for an informal visit; simply telephone to make an appointment.
Kent College is firstly and above all else, a true 'family' school - over half of its pupils have siblings studying here. It has a wonderful character, atmosphere and Christian tradition with pupils drawn from a wide cross section of society and from nearly 30 countries. It offers the benefits of a safe, picturesque, semi-rural site and yet is only a few minutes walking distance from the beautiful Cathedral City of Canterbury.
All schools will promise to maximise the potential of their pupils and Kent College is no different! We hope to do so by positive encouragement and motivation and supportive, caring teaching in small classes. Thus our pupils acquire the intellectual curiosity and individual strengths to enable them to succeed.
The twenty first century has brought to the educational arena many new challenges and exciting opportunities and we have embraced that change willingly. We shall, however, continue to develop to the full the academic, creative, and sporting talents of all our pupils, whilst unashamedly fostering, above all, the spirit.
Our pupils are suitably prepared for their futures; they are and will continue to be confident, without arrogance, responsible, respected and selfless citizens in a world which will require gifted and flexible young men and women of character, dedication and compassion.
You have already taken the first step in finding your child's school. I am confident that your next step should be a visit to Kent College. I look forward to meeting you.
