Boarding Opportunities - a Gentle Introduction to Boarding Life
Kent College Infant & Junior School has its own small but comfortable Boarding House within the main school building and welcomes boarders from the age of seven upwards.
Few people would deny that for a child below the age of 11 – and indeed for their parents – boarding can be quite a daunting prospect. That’s why choosing Vernon Holme as a child’s first boarding school makes so much sense. There are just so many advantages, in the boarding house and in the school itself.
-
No child is over 11, so the school’s philosophy and policies are geared to this younger age group rather than as is the case in a traditional prep school which takes pupils up to 13. This enhances the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
-
Boarding arrangements are highly flexible, to meet individual family requirements. The School welcomes full and weekly boarders, and will always try to accommodate requests for short term or occasional boarding as the need arises.
All in all, parents can send their children into boarding at Vernon Holme with total confidence about their happiness and welfare.
