The word ' Education ' derives from the Latin word meaning ' leading out ' and this concept is one that informs everything we do at Kent College. Our pupils get every possible encouragement to develop whatever natural talent they have been born with, and our staff delight in seeing these talents blossom under their guidance.
There is an outstanding sporting tradition at Kent College, and this is enormously helped by the quality of our sports facilities, including an all-weather artificial hockey pitch. Standards of coaching are high and this is reflected in a series of regional and national titles won by Kent College teams.
But sport is only part of the experience at Kent College. The visual and performing Arts are just as important, and each year sees a wide variety of plays, concerts and exhibitions. Scholarships are available for Music, Drama and Art, as well as for Sport and academic studies.
There is an exciting range of activities for the students to pursue at lunchtime, after school and, if they wish, on Saturday mornings. We even have our own farm, and our Young Farmers club has a proud tradition of winning prizes at the Kent County Show.
All this supports our objective of sending out into the world confident, responsible and compassionate young people, who know their strengths and weaknesses and are bursting with enthusiasm to use all the talents that the school has fostered.
