Beyond the Classroom

No-one will deny that academic success is a key measure of how well any school is performing, but it is certainly not the only measure.

At Kent College there is a clear objective to develop the ‘whole person’ and that process starts in the Infant and Junior School as our children are introduced to a wide range of artistic and sporting activities. These take place during the school day, after school and, for those who want it, on Saturday mornings. Our huge range of clubs and societies is complemented by a programme of visits and excursions, and together these give every child unrivalled opportunities to expand their horizons and take a keen interest in the world about them.

Use the menu on this page to find out more about all the exciting activities our children get involved with. You’ll see why they so much look forward to coming to school!  A particular highlight each year is the Arts Festival, which takes place in the Spring Term.  This covers the visual arts, music, drama and dance and the children participate enthusiastically, as well as benefitting from visiting artists and performers.  Some of the events are staged in collaboration with Senior School pupils, which greatly helps our children grow in confidence.
